About the role

We are seeking a full-time ongoing Precast Leading Hand to join our growing team at our new and expanding facility in Ormeau, QLD. You will be responsible for the manufacture of precast products in accordance with the plans and specifications. This role offers long-term opportunity, stable work, and the chance to contribute to major projects that will shape Australia's infrastructure landscape. Qualifications, skills & experience

• Relevant trade experience.

• Hazard identification/awareness.

• Forklift licence (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations - Plan, organise and guide a small team of Precast Operators to consistently meet production targets.

• Maintain a safe work environment - Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in line with site safety requirements.

• Deliver high-quality precast products - Oversee efficient production while upholding high standards of workmanship and professional conduct.

• Model best practice - Set the standard for all stages of precast manufacture, including mould preparation, concrete placement and finishing, demoulding, stacking, storage, housekeeping, and worksite organisation.

• Develop and support employees - Provide coaching to team members and assist in the training and successful onboarding of new employees.

• Ensure compliance with specifications - Verify that all products meet engineering drawings, quality standards, and procedural requirements.

• Promote teamwork and communication - Foster a positive, cooperative work environment within the team and the wider workforce.

• Follow company policies - Ahere to all company procedures, safety rules, and operational guidelines at all times.

• Idea sharing - We encourage new ideas and suggestions that will improve our organisational success.
